Hello!
Patrick continues to sail through the Neupogen shots with
minimal pain thus far. I must admit that this boy can tolerate pain! He
once walked all over Washington, DC for the entire weekend with a broken foot!
The white count roller coaster continues, today it was
.5. The doctors are thinking that it recovering slowly may be due to
Patrick's Chronic Granulomatus Disease. However, they continue to be optimistic in thinking that it is just
taking it's time.
We had a lengthy day at the clinic as Patrick needed a
blood transfusion as well as platelets, potassium and his daily
antibiotics. The excitement of the day was the fire alarm going off. Thank
goodness it is simply bright flashing lights and not loud alarms as the alarms
from the IV's are more than enough noise!
Patrick enjoyed a visit from cousins Britton and Charles
who came over after work from Raleigh, it is always nice to have
visitors!
I will close with Vivien Leigh's end to "Gone with
the Wind."
After all, tomorrow is another day!
Let's just pray that the stubborn white count moves north just a smidgen!
xoxo caroline
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
